In The Paint Shop

On Tuesday, 30 July 2013, we visited The Shadow at a body panelling and paint shop in Bayswater. Vince, the owner and operator of Pro Paint WA, is in charge of rust removal, panelling and painting the car.

 Various angles of the car showing panel work completed. Several rusted panels have been cut, removed and then replaced and welded with new sheets of metal. Any imperfections in the metal have been removed, filled and then sanded down. The entire body will be sanded & smoothed once all bodywork is completed. 

The first coat of paint/primer will be expected to be on the car within three weeks as of now. All the windows and windscreens, along with the engine bay will be masked up before any paint goes on to the car. Any chrome will be re-chromed and stainless steel trimming will be polished to shine!

We have a Kincrome retro styled Esky with chrome trims and a bottle opener, identical to this one, that we plan to have it resprayed in the same two tone paint that we have decided! How cool will that be?!
